LaunchBox is a database and a portable game launcher. It was designed to run DOSBox (included with the program), but now it can handle PC games, emulators, and even import your games from Steam. There is a lot of functionality here, but a splash screen helps to list the various possibilities and provide links to video tutorials. If you prefer to jump directly, there are wizards to instantly import DOS and other games, but even as a beginner, it does not take long to set something up manually. We clicked on Game> Add and we were asked to enter a game name. Write only part of a game title - "Meier" - and LaunchBox quickly searches Wikipedia, presenting it with several matches. Choose one of these options and LaunchBox will find all associated metadata (title, release date, genre, platform, etc.) and you can download the associated images (artistic box, screenshots, etc.) in a couple of clicks.
